We are looking for a Network Engineer specializing in GPON/FTTx. This role involves managing network elements, leading supplier relationships, and developing fiber access solutions across European Vodafone markets. You will handle the planning, implementation, optimization, and security of fixed access platforms, ensuring they meet high-performance standards and will have the following responsibilities:
ResponsibilitiesNetwork Engineering & Lifecycle Management: Oversee the lifecycle management of xPON/FTTx platforms (OLT, ONT, EMS, SDN), ensuring optimal performance and capacity management.Supplier & Project Coordination: Manage supplier relationships, participate in technical contract negotiations, and coordinate the implementation of new projects impacting xPON/FTTx platforms.Technical Optimization & Security: Develop and enforce optimization and interference suppression rules, implement security policies, and support the automation of network activities.Testing & Budgeting: Plan and execute Laboratory Type Acceptance Testing, Proof of Concept, and field trials, while managing project and lifecycle budgets effectively.What you bring: Experience in GPON - FTTx network engineering and lifecycle management.Strong knowledge of OLT, ONT, EMS, and SDN platforms.Proven supplier management and contract negotiation skills.Expertise in network design (HLD & LLD), security, and automation.Strong analytical abilities and excellent coordination skills.Not a perfect fit?
