.Procurement Category ManagerProcurement Category ManagerLocation: Barcelona, SpainPosted on: 2 days agoAir Products [...]?????????We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager based in Barcelona.The position involves managing critical materials and services agreement and procurement strategies in Southern Europe which have significant impact on the Package, Bulk and Traded Gases/Raw Material business.As a Procurement Category Manager, you will:Lead the process to develop, negotiate, implement, and sustain the commodities strategies within the scope, aligned with business objectives.Lead project prioritization with stakeholders including supply chain, customer engineering, and hospitals business.Act as a single point of contact for Package Business, Traded Business, and any other SE commodity.Develop through knowledge and market intelligence for the respective commodities and business areas.Create benchmarks for market conditions to better understand pricing trends, market knowledge, demand/capacity constraints, and financial stability of suppliers.Participate in all service level review agreements for the major existing contracts with suppliers and resolve all commercial issues.Define strategy to reduce Sole Sources and implement it.Lead and resolve supplier conflicts related to poor service or performance of suppliers. Manage supplier service level agreements and enhance performance of contractors through supplier management programs. Ensure supply base is covering Air Products safety, ethical trading and reliability requirements.Conduct RFP, RFQ events, market research, supplier risk evaluation.Review terms and conditions and commercial terms for new contracts, work with legal team to ensure that all commercial and legal risks are mitigated through appropriate commercial and legal clauses.Process purchase orders and agreements, manage invoice issues, or any other type of commercial issues related to specific order/agreement.Identify areas for improvement in procurement to pay process implement the required change for improvement.Ensure compliance with local, Regional and Global agreements and procedures.Support and lead Procurement M&A activities when required.You will have:Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or Engineering discipline.Proven experience in defining, leading, and developing Sourcing Strategies, understanding of purchasing terms and conditions and commercial acumen is required, as well as international market experience.SAP ERP knowledge required.Strong negotiation and influencing skills.Self-starter, capable of taking ownership of issues and resolving them.Excellent written and oral Spanish and English language skills, (French and Portuguese language skill is advantageous).Location: Office-based, with some travel required to visit suppliers and company sites.Drive car license required.Countries served: Spain, Portugal, Northern Africa, Italy
