.As a member of the Solar Due Diligence team, the Project Engineer is responsible as a key contributor on the execution of independent engineering (IE) and technical advisory (TA) services to support the financing, sale, or acquisition of solar PV projects and portfolios across different countries. The position requires a mature candidate with effective communication, project management, and technical skills. Support and compile and complete IE and TA reports and summarize key results and conclusions. Ensure a quality of work that meets and exceeds client expectations. Integrate all review sections from UL Solutions' multi-disciplinary team and ensure that UL Solutions' technical and commercial analysis is consistent throughout sections. Work with internal resources as well as sub-consultants. Ensure project deliverables stay on time, on target, and on budget. Work with Lenders and Developers as the main client interface for UL Solutions. Attend client meetings with lenders and developers as needed. Work with multi-disciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, and issues and propose viable solutions and mitigation strategies. Ensure the use of best practices and apply lessons learned from earlier projects. Perform site visits during construction and operation and perform monthly construction monitoring site visits to review progress against technical specifications, budget and milestone schedule. Compile and review site visit reports and monthly construction monitoring reports. Support UL Solutions' due diligence cost databases including providing updates from project datasets. Represent UL Solutions at conferences and business development meetings as needed. Minimum Requirements: At least 5 years of experience as a project manager in renewable energy which may include solar due diligence, project development, construction, equipment supply, operation or mergers and acquisitions. At least bachelors-level education and core competence in a relevant field, e.G., mechanical, civil or electrical engineering, environmental engineering, construction management, operations and maintenance, commercial, legal, finance. Master in Renewable Energy related aspects is considered as beneficial. Good understanding of solar technology with experience in the review of main PV related equipment (PV modules, inverters, trackers and other main equipment in the BOS of a solar PV Project). Good understanding on typical KPIs for solar PV and high-level understanding of energy modelling for solar PV projects. Demonstrable experience handling utility scale solar PV Projects with experience on PV Project design, familiar with the review of typical contracts for solar PV projects including EPC, O&M, PPAs, Asset management Contracts and Credit Agreements and financial models. Experience defining and reviewing provisional acceptance and commissioning requirements for solar PV Projects. Strong written and communication skills
