About the role
At Revoluts Market Making team we deliver value in currency and securities trading. Our goal is to become the worlds leading market maker. To achieve this we tackle the most challenging problems using cutting-edge quantitative research and advanced machine learning techniques to build automated trading systems.
Were looking for a Backend Engineer to join our Market-Making Platform Team. You will work with talented engineers and traders on developing and maintaining high-performance systems that drive our trading strategies.

What you ll be doing
- Designing developing and maintaining low-latency high-throughput Java applications for market making and algorithmic trading
- Integrating with market data feeds execution venues and internal systems
- Perfecting a number of systems that our business depends on such as risk management booking and analytical services
What youll need
- Fluency with Java
- 6+ years of experience in backend development
- A bachelors degree in computer science maths physics or similar field
- To be a quick learner with an ambitious attitude and results-driven personality
- The ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Fluency in English
Nice to have
- Experience in a trading environment such as an investment bank hedge fund or trading firm
- Experience in finance
- Experience in low-latency programming
- Experience with Market Data Feeds
- Experience in a start-up or scale-up
