Java+Web Developer What we do: The Digital Training Tools group in Westinghouse develops and maintains digital tools for creation and delivery of specialized training material to safety-critical workers.
We aim at providing the best possible training experience to our customers (major industrial companies at global level).
We are adding a new member to our team to help us improve the products we develop, with a focus on Java-based tools.
Role: The mission of this role is to contribute to the development of our Digital training Tools, with special focus on management of Skills and Competencies.
You will be part of an international team working in this and other applications for digital training.
As you grow in the position, you will be able to support other projects with other technologies.

You will be working with colleagues and users globally, especially in the US and Europe.
Environment: You will be working mainly with Java, SQL, and PHP (Twig).
Other technologies involved are Javascript (Vue.js), and Apache Thrift.

Our team offices are in Madrid (San Sebastián de los Reyes) and Tarragona (L'Hospitalet de l'Infant).
We work in a mixture of 50% home and 50% office.
The employee can decide which days they will work from the office or from home.

Required Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline At least 2 years of experience in similar positions in software development for web applications Solid concepts and practice of OO programming and design patterns, as well as database principles (ACID transactions) Experience in production projects with Java, Javascript, PHP, and SQL English speaker: Able to follow a conversation in English with native speakers.
