_Reimagine what's possible._ We are looking for an Employee Relations Leader based in Cornellá (Barcelona) .
The Employee Relations Leader sits on the Regional MyHR Team and reports to the MyHR Regional Manager.
They serve as the "Face of HR" to the general population of employees and managers, and therefore play a critical role in the development and evolution of the Air Products employee experience.
This MyHR team is responsible for ensuring that HR support and operations meet the organizational objectives, are rapidly responsive to employee and manager needs, and integrate with the other functions within the OneHR team for consistency.
The MyHR Employee Relations Leader serves as an advisor to the business in consultation with various COEs.
The Employee Relations Leader will be a point of escalation for employee and manager inquiries on policy/procedures/processes, manage workplace complaints, and investigations, and resolve inquiries swiftly and efficiently with the remaining exception cases escalated to HR process owners, Communities of Expertise, and HR Partners.
They will serve as experts in local legislation and have the overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with local employment-related regulations and legislation as well as being the face of HR in the field.
This individual is expected to be an expert in HR Policies & Processes, how HR operates, how to expedite solutions, and be a reliable source of guidance and information to managers and employees.
The position requires strong moral and ethical standards, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, high performance, and work ethic to drive solutions, as well as the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization in the course of their work.
This position is a residence-based position and will require travel to Air Products' locations when required.
As Employee Relations Leader, you will: Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement, and redundancy.
Conduct appropriate investigations and Integrity Line complaints assigned by Global Asset Protection.
Resolve or escalate appropriately, which may involve legal consult.
Provide data insights relating to employee relations trends and develop proactive solutions to the business.
Be responsible for employment-related legal and regulatory compliance within the countries/areas supported, including HR policies, procedures, and processes and regulatory compliance within the full employee lifecycle for the countries supported, including changes to terms and conditions and policy implementations.
Receive and respond to general HR questions and concerns from managers and employees, acting as a point of escalation and resolution for HR policy/procedure/process queries to provide accurate guidance to employees and managers.
Be well-versed on AP (Air Products) Code of Conduct, performance and behavior expectations, and progressive disciplinary philosophies.
Manage with fair and consistent discipline when appropriate.
Utilize discretion and consult with legal as necessary.
Involve in the administration and completion of union or works council-related activities including negotiations, grievances, union strategy management, investigations, annual contract maintenance, and compliance.
Develop and expedite recommendations to CoEs (Benefits, Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Experience, Learning & Development, etc.)
to improve and streamline HR processes based on employee and manager experience.
Be the Face of HR to bring the desired employee experience to life by partnering with HR Leaders, CoEs, and HR Partners on people practices and process execution.
Provide proactive employee relations support and training.
Instill company philosophy, culture, and core values.
You will have: Bachelor's degree in law or a related field.
10+ years of relevant HR/labor law experience in a Spanish context, preferably in chemical companies, and experience liaising between the company and the works council.
In-depth knowledge of Spanish labor laws and regulations.
Native level of Spanish and high level of English and French .
