Position Summary: The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for overseeing and maintaining day-to-day HR operations for assigned locations and client groups, acting as the main point of contact for country HR related matters and accountable for aligning with business objectives across assigned locations/business areas. The HRBP serves as an advisor to management, acts as a change agent, and oversees the employee life cycle including onboarding/off-boarding, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, training and development, as well as participating in some global/regional project-based initiatives.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to: Partner with the recruiting team and key stakeholders to understand the headcount needs, advise on job descriptions and job levels, partner with Total Rewards to make compensation determinations.In partnership with the L&D team, co-ordinate and in some cases, deliver training to address the changing needs of the business, HR processes and individual employees.Advise managers on employee relations issues.Manage/oversee the complete onboarding/off-boarding process for employees in assigned area which includes new hire orientation, manager communication, ensuring all necessary pre-hire steps are undertaken.Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.Conduct new hire follow-up meetings, collect data and be able to provide feedback to managers and senior leaders.Lead key HR initiatives and be able to rollout new HR programs while ensuring fit for purpose for local jurisdictions.Collaborate with colleagues on the HR team to develop improved policies, programs, and solutions.Identify and implement ideas to enhance the workplace culture, improve workplace relationships, and boost retention.Analyse data trends and metrics (such as HC trends, engagement survey data) to inform business decisions and to develop new engagement strategies.Draft and distribute employee communications as necessary, i.e. new hires, engagement events, training initiatives, etc.Answer employee questions, troubleshoot HR system issues and provide reports.Audit key records and validate current HR practices.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field of study. 5 years + relevant experience in a Human Resources role.
