Senior Underwriting Assistant Senior UA reports to the Team Leader of the Line of Business where he/she is working for.
Role PurposeRole holder provides support to Underwriting and ensures that the administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external clients. In addition, the Senior UA would take responsibility for more complex accounts as well as having in-depth knowledge of at least one line of business and can support UW in pre- and post-bind processes.
ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Underwriting Assistant role is responsible for:
Contracts handling:Master policies, international programs outgoing and incoming in an efficient and correct way for new and established businesses.Sending, receiving, controlling contracts by checking the conditions of acceptance of the customer's request, interacting with the customer if necessary, and using various available data sources to make the right decision and give the right advice to the broker/client.Following up until contract signing or refusal.Developing draft contracts/amendments that fit with customer needs.Modifying coverage concepts if desired by the client/broker.Preparing contracts which are beyond his/her authority and discussing them with the team leader.Monitoring, planning, and issuing contractual documents (policies, endorsements, and certificates).Supporting the Credit Control team in cash allocation for accounts and monitoring outstanding unpaid premiums.Data Management:Preparing and sending weekly reports.Preparing premium flows.Preparing and sending local policies instructions.Controlling Gross and Net portfolio.Controlling data quality.Supervising and guiding the work of Underwriting Assistants in the company, especially supporting those who are less experienced in the team.Acting as a reference point to help troubleshoot issues, providing processing/system expertise, including issues with global programs.Developing expert-level knowledge regarding Genius Insurance System and Gismo for the implementation of Global Programs.Capabilities and QualificationsBachelor's degree desirable.Fluent English Skills: minimum C1 level CEFR.Experience of 7-10 years in similar functions and responsibilities.Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.SHARE your talentWe're looking for someone who has these qualifications and skills:
