To meet this demand, we are looking for passionate technologists to join our growing Industry Solutions Team (IST), a remote/flexible, globally-dispersed team. Our objective is to align MongoDB as an industry solution and ensure we understand enterprise clients and their needs to modernize software legacies, transition to modernized solutions, and guide them through continuous data-driven modernization.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Communicating the direction of MongoDB's platform to customers and industry partner communities via content creation, industry-focused technical demos, leading projects that help drive forward accounts (such as sales enablement, account workshops, internal newsletters, etc.)Leading the creation of technical demos, showcasing MongoDB's capabilities for specific industry-focused use casesGenerating/delivering content, such as white papers, blogs, webinars, thought leadership, speaking events, etc., that communicates the business value of MongoDB as a leading industry solutionPartnering with the rest of the Industry Solutions team to ensure success in accounts ranging from small startups to large enterprises (i.e customizing solutions, client presentations, client-specific content, etc.)Assisting in Consultant/Principal support of sales through enablement, with activities such as technical discovery, demos, trainings, proof of values, presentations, and documentation of technical decision criteria; working across a number of sales opportunities in parallelActing as a liaison between our team and Marketing, Sales, and Product, playing an active role in MongoDB's Go-To-Market StrategyProactively seeking opportunities to support and mentor other team members and share best practicesAs an ideal candidate, you will have:At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the tech sector, or relevant technical experience in other sectorsA foundational knowledge of data and/or data engineeringA balance of technical knowledge as well as communication/presentation skillsAbility and willingness to learn quickly and adapt to new industriesA diverse experience or interest in multiple industries, such as finance, banking or healthcareThe ability to manage and work with multiple stakeholders effectivelyA pro-active, self-starter with the drive to learn new skills and become an expert in that fieldThe ability to travel up to 25% in normal circumstances for conferences, clients, team shadowing, team events, MongoDB events, etc.A strong sense of teamwork working towards a common goal with process-oriented skillsAs an ideal candidate, you may also have:A Master's degree or equivalent work experience in the tech sectorExperience with database programming and data modelsKnowledge of mobile programming (Swift)Experience with databases and/or deploying applications with any of the major cloud providers or database vendorsA MongoDB CertificationProficiency in more than one languageWhat you will learn:Working in a fast-paced tech company and being integrated into a "can-do" team where responsibility for your own work and intellectual honesty are crucialThe rapidly expanding MongoDB product suite, including Atlas (fully managed cloud database service), Realm Mobile Databases and Solutions, and other tools and connectorsExposure to a wide variety of market verticals and a broad spectrum of interesting use casesCross-industry tech modernization understandingUnderstanding of product and program management in a fast-moving tech companyProcess thinking, planning and project management skillsTo drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone.
