Descripción del rol: The successful candidate will join the Contract Management Department within the Legal Department, preferably in Madrid, as a Senior Regional Contract Manager, reporting directly to the Head of Contract Management.
A Contract Manager proactively participates in ensuring contract rights and obligations with the Client and other third parties are properly followed and managed, positioning the project to achieve its targets and maximize the success of all claims.
Responsibilities include the following:
Lead the strategic initiatives developed in the Department, promoting their successful completion.
Ensure the proper use of existing corporate contract management tools within the organization.
Monitor the progress of claims incorporated into the claims management module, preparing the necessary reports.
In coordination with the specific area Contract Managers, as applicable, supervise the correct management of contracts in the projects of the Iberia and LATAM region from the bidding phase through delivery, paying special attention to the preparation and management of claims.
Oversee compliance with the relevant operational procedures in each of the projects of the Iberia and LATAM region in coordination with the specific area Contract Managers as applicable.
Participate in the selection of experts for complex claims.
Review and analyze reports prepared by experts.
Develop the claim strategy with the operations and legal team.
Coordinate with counsel responsible for providing advice on each of the projects.
Skills & Experience: + 10 years of experience as a contract manager or in relevant commercial positions in complex infrastructure projects.
Civil Engineer or other related degree; having completed training modules in contract management, construction law, claims management, cost analysis, and delay analysis will be valued.
Knowledge of the main delay analysis methods, protocols and recommendations of the SCL and the AACE.
Ability to establish, lead and motivate functional report teams. Excellent personnel management skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
High level of independence and proactivity when proposing solutions or improvements.
Fluent in English.
High level of proficiency operating MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, and knowledge of scheduling software i.e Primavera P6.
