SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER (SPE)
delta Projects is a small, fast-growing Engineering Consulting firm active solely in the Food industry.
With customers worldwide, delta Projects has offices in Switzerland, Spain, and USA.
The activities are not solely limited to Food Engineering but expanded as well to support our clients in Manufacturing, Utilities, Quality, Sustainability and Maintenance.
Those are fields which require, aside from strong Engineering competences, a deep knowledge of Hygiene concepts, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Food Safety standards.
We offer a high standard multi-discipline Engineering applied to CAPEX projects and manufacturing performance enhancement.
Job Location
The position is based at delta Projects' office in Barcelona, Spain.
The nature of our international work requires constant presence at the customers, suppliers, and partners' locations. Those are in Europe, Middle East and USA, probably in Asia in the future.
As well, we regularly visit expos related to our fields: Food processing, packaging, and engineering in general.
The SPE will be available for the necessary travels as required to perform his/her tasks.
The candidate
Studies
Bachelor or Master studies in Mechanical, Food related or Chemical Engineering.

Tasks
The SPE will be entrusted with one or more projects, depending on size and difficulty.
Depending on the project status, he/she will be responsible for:
- Prepare the project concept, according to the client's needs.
- Design and size the solution retained.
- Select the necessary equipment.
- Contact suppliers and clients to complete the project.
- Support the client in the procurement phase, with suppliers and contractors.
- Supervise of the installation and start-up of the projects.
Bonus points
10+ years' experience in Projects, Manufacturing or Maintenance.
Experience in food or pharmaceutical industry, GMP, HACCP, PMO, EHEDG, FDA, ISO 22000 etc. (The acronyms are not developed in purpose).
Good practical knowledge of CAD software 2D and 3D.
Good knowledge of industrial standards.
Driving license
Languages
Fluent in English, any other language is a plus.
