Senior Internal Communications Co-ordinator Responsible to: People Experience Business Partner - Communications Departent: People Team (People Experience Team) Location: Bury Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Internal Communications co-ordinator to join our team. This role is crucial as we roll out a new internal communication and engagement platform across our global network. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping and delivering strategic communication initiatives that drive employee engagement, enhance company culture, and ensure the smooth adoption of the new platform. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of digital communication tools. Key Duties/Responsibilities: Partner with Leadership Team and People Team colleagues to craft and deliver key messages that align with the company's strategic goals. Develop and implement internal communication plans for major company initiatives, ensuring consistent and clear messaging across all channels. Manage a comms calendar for the People Experience Team, ensuring all communication goes out on time and on the relevant platforms, is engaging and meets agreed objectives. Day to day management of internal communication & engagement platform. Supporting implementation, creating a regular content plan, and delivering on this. Work with our in-house Studio Team, ensuring all communications are consistent with JD Group Brand and values, and resonates with a diverse workforce. Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality content across the new platform (and existing platforms), including, but not limited to, newsletters, articles, videos, announcements and live town halls. Support, coach and develop junior colleagues, encuring all work is completed to a high standard and on time. Curate and maintain library of materials produced across the business for broader use (JDPLC site etc.) Create and devise briefing documents/Powerpoint decks upon request for presentations on departmental projects and initiatives. Support a network of "communication champions" across the business, who will support and promote the business internal communication platfom within their area. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the oganisation, ensuring consistent content is shared with the central communications team to distribute internally. Helping keep colleagues in all areas of the business informed and engaged. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership, highlighting trends, challenges and opportunities. Use data to continuously refine and improve appoach. Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed: Strong understanding of internal communication strategies, best practices, and trends. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas simply and effectively. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including internal systems, email newsletters, and social media. Experience in retail, or a similar fast-paced industry. Proven experience in successfully launching and managing digital communication platforms or tools.
