Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution, located in Barcelona (Spain) that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at the University Hospital Vall d'Hebron. VHIR is oriented towards finding solutions to the health problems of the citizens and has the will to contribute to the scientific, educational, social and economic development within its area of competence. One of the principal objectives of the Internal Strategy Unit Directorate is to support the scientific community of our institution during all the steps of their scientific career, identifying the needs of every category and conceptualise institutional competitive calls to cover those needs. For that reason, we are looking for an individual who is willing to work on promoting the talent of one of the most important and competitive Research Centres linked to the health sector in Spain/Europe. The hired person will provide support to the management of the different institutional calls and prioritisation processes driven by the Internal Evaluation Committee at VHIR. This person will be part of the Internal Strategy Area team and will work closely with the National and International Projects Units, the Professional Development Unit and the Labour Relations Unit within the HR Area. Education and qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Health Science. Desired: Master´s degree and a PhD will be valued. Experience and knowledge: Required: Knowledge on competitive research funding opportunities in the healthcare ecosystem. High level of Spanish and English, spoken and written (Proficiency level). Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams. Person with a proven hands-on attitude, flexible, adaptable, creative, very dynamic and used to working in a team. Excellent organisation and project management skills. Desired: Experience in Instituto de Investigación en Salud Acreditado (IISA) . Experience managing national/international and public/private calls, with the main focus on Talent Attraction and Retention competitive calls. Catalan will be a plus. Main responsibilities and duties: Management of institutional competitive calls mainly focused on the talent field (writing rules of participation, dissemination, planning of the internal calendar, query resolution, revision of proposals, internal/external prioritisation process, claims and acceptance of the fellowships). Elaboration of internal selection criteria for external calls when required. Coordinate the Internal Evaluation Committee during the prioritisation processes of external competitive calls. Coordinate the interview phases of different institutional calls. Feedback meetings with the researchers. Elaboration of reports to improve internal processes related to the management of the calls. Labour conditions: Full-time position: 40h/week. Starting date: Immediate. Gross annual salary: 26.000 – 30.000 euros (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.
