We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.The Business Development team is responsible for business negotiations, partner management, and new expansion opportunities with our largest IP partners and new distribution platforms (e.G.
storefronts, hardware manufacturers, subscription services) around the world.
Through these relationships, the team is responsible for creating and executing a strategy for each partner that drives audience and revenue growth for Scopely's portfolio of games.What You Will DoReporting to the SVP Publishing, the Senior Director, Business Development will be responsible for working closely with internal game development teams and key external partners to drive Scopely's distribution and growth strategy globally.Develop key relationships with top IP partners, new distribution platforms, and vendors in the gaming industry to support and grow the Scopely global business.Articulate the Scopely vision and how we can most effectively partner together.Create and execute on a global business development strategy that connects to our overall distribution strategy and principles.Source and negotiate large complex partnerships that grow Scopely's overall consumer and commercial presence globally.Partner closely with internal teams to ensure the needs of the business are being met in a timely manner.Willingness to travel domestically and internationally and an appreciation for the way business is conducted in different parts of the world.Keep tabs on industry trends by obsessively analyzing the market, playing all the new releases, and attending industry events and conferences.What We're Looking For8+ years of Business Development / Partnership experience within the digital entertainment industry.Experience creating and executing a global business development strategy.Ability to identify and negotiate large scale commercial agreements.Gaming experience preferred, and particularly free-to-play games.Passion & love for video games.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and all levels of management.Ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes.Ability to analyze data to make data-driven decisions - skills in Excel and Google Sheets necessary.Strong presentation and communication skills - Keynote, Powerpoint, or Google Slides skills required.Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
