What are we looking for?
We are looking for an ambitious and talented profile to join our Finance Department as Senior Controller - North of Europe, located at our headquarters in Madrid MISSION: Consolidate and analyze financial information to support decision-making through monitoring the business unit's P&L compliance, authorized discounts, promotional plans, and identifying deviations that impact the achievement of established objectives across channels, chains, and clients in alignment with overall strategic goals.
KEY FUNCTIONS: Finance Team • Provides leadership and expertise regarding profitability and the use of financial measures.
• Supplies financial analyses to the Controlling department related to channels, chains, and clients.
• Coordinates with relevant teams to obtain and provide necessary information for analyses and project evaluation.
• Manages closing activities, process optimization, and internal controls.
Analysis and Profitability • Proficient in performing, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating planning exercises.
• Conducts and coordinates analysis of income statements by channel, chain, and client, identifying deviations from budget, projections, and prior year.
• Analyzes sales and discounts according to authorized plans, budgets, forecasts, and prior year figures.
• Regularly provides financial information and special analyses to management teams related to channels, chains, and clients, identifying areas for improvement.
• Evaluates pricing initiatives and promotional plans to ensure profitability and adherence to financial guidelines, policies, and established procedures.
• Effective in conducting, analyzing, interpreting, and communicating planning exercises.
Administration and Control • Regularly monitors the progress of offers and promotional plans, identifying and reporting potential deviations.
• Monitors and controls the correct assignment of prices, discounts, and conditions granted to channels/clients.
• Trains on the use, acquisition, and understanding of commercial financial information.
• Ensures systems contain current authorized pricing and discount information.
• Participates in the operational team to enhance the profitability of brands and clients.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and internal controls for discount authorization.
Budget and Forecast • Provides commercial information for the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for corporate reporting cycles.
• Collaborates with the Finance and Administration team in validating budgeted P&Ls.
Pricing and Discounts • Tracks compliance with customer pricing structures and scenario analysis models.
• Contributes to the pricing strategy by providing analysis and monitoring the implementation of price changes.
Financial Presentations • Participates in business reviews as required.
• Presents the financial performance of channels, chains, and clients to commercial areas.
EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCES: 5 years of experience in financial planning, administrative areas of commercial or sales departments, with 3 years in similar roles.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude.
Organizational skills and effective priority management.
Demonstrates proactivity, initiative, and determination.
Intermediate level of English.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and preferably Power BI.
