OBJECTIVE
Maximizes sales and market share in Spain, by driving sales activity and providing leadership to the sales team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Translates Aspen brand strategies into sales plans.
Identify, recruit, develop and keep motivated a high-performing sales team.
Ensure the successful implementation of the new business model & strategy, new territories/segmentation, launch of new products and the optimum sales team structure.
Analyses the sales performance of the relevant brands in the territory and identifies key levers for action.
Keeps business unit team informed of any market changes/competitor activity relevant to strategy implementation and development.
Ensures execution of the Marketing/Commercial tactics by developing territory plans (Plans of Action) with team members.
Manages approved budgets to ensure appropriate allocation of resources to meet the plan and keep financial control.
Plans, allocates and monitors the sales team expenses budget to ensure budgetary control.
Tracks progress of marketing messages and programs.
Monitors implementation of the plan of action throughout sales cycles and ensures budget spend within the agreed time, costs, compliance and quality parameters.
Monitors evaluates and acts on sales field force metrics and standards to maximize sales force effectiveness from a quantitative and qualitative perspective.
Builds and develops a high-performing sales team.
Coaches and motivates sales team members to achieve/exceed territory goals and optimise individual and team engagement.
Conducts annual and ongoing performance reviews and capability assessments within the framework of Aspen's performance management process.
Develop individual team members to continuously improve their overall level of performance in their role and for future development.
Drives a culture of ownership and accountability.
Ensures data-driven decision-making.
Supports the team members on external key customer visits as needed.
Ensure compliance according to Aspen Codes and SOP's and local regulations as a manager and as an employee.
Skills & Competencies
Fluency in Spanish and English, both oral and written communications.

Proficient in Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Power BI/Repwise or Veeva.
Relevant pharmaceutical market knowledge.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Relevant tertiary qualifications.
Minimum 5 years of experience as sales manager or with a commercial role within a multinational pharmaceutical company.
3-5 years experience in a specialist disease area.
Excellent knowledge of therapeutic areas, products and competitors.
Expertise in gynecology or dermatology will be an advantage.
Computer Skills (MS Office programs) and especially Excel/Power BI.
Experience in managing a specialty sales team would be advantageous.
