RoleWe are looking for a seasoned, hardworking, smart and over achieving Sales Engineer with proven experience and a passion for selling technology solutions to freight executives. You will be responsible for selling into new prospects together with your team guidelines as well as farming back into existing customers to ensure high usage and increase of our mutual business. Measures of success include new customer acquisition, adoption, satisfaction, and contribution to the overall sales team and business success.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the commercial team with solution selling into prospect account base.Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions.Work with the technical teams to create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.Manage all technical aspects of RFP/RFI responses.Effectively communicate client needs to the Product and R&D teams for future product enhancements.Proactively sell integrations of our API suite for bookings and more to 3rd party software providers.Follow up with those providers to ensure prompt launches, effectively executed marketing plans & system adoption.Work side by side with your teammates to support API related questions from our SaaS customers.RequirementsBasic requirements: Proven work experience of minimum 3-5 years as a Sales Engineer.Previous role selling software that involve API integrations to other systems.Expertise in API, including how to design, implement, and troubleshoot them and knowledge of APIs management tools such as Postman (mandatory) or Apigee (good to have).Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies (HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, XML, etc).Experience with complex enterprise solutions.Ability to forge strong, long-lasting relationships with customers.Vigorous listening and analytical skills to determine customer needs and then translate them into effective technical solutions.Strong ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.Quick and adaptive learner who can get on board with new technologies and initiatives.Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.Excellent presentation and creativity skills.Willingness and availability to travel up to once per quarter.Demonstrated ability to work independently.
