Summary

In the context of ALPEGA Group's growth plan, we are looking for a Sales Director who will determine the sales strategy and action plans to develop our B2B Marketplace business (Freight Exchange solution) in Iberia.

It will be the jobholder's responsibility to own and hit the annual sales targets and expand our customer base, build & maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and understand customer & industry trends.

The role reports to the VP of Sales - Marketplace.

Responsibilities Meet our customer acquisition & revenue growth objectives with your teamDevelop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer baseDefine defensive and offensive sales campaignsBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with strategic customers in your areaLead, manage, coach and inspire a team of around 9 sales professionals (inside sales and field sales)Work with them as coach, motivator, trainer and business partnerGuide your team on how to:Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectivesEffectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentationsUnderstand industry-specific landscapes and trends, and translating them into a creative and result focused approachBe a strong partner to the Marketing team and across the company to support our growth Requirements:

Proven business development experience, meeting or exceeding targetsPrevious experience as a Sales Executive, Sales Manager or Sales & Marketing Director, indirectly or directly linked to the logistics industryAbility to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-levelProven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closing customersArticulate the distinct aspects of products and servicesPosition products against competitorsDemonstrable experience as head of sales, driving a culture of fun & winning in a competitive market in B2B salesStrong analytical and management skills to follow and enforce a proper lead-to-customer flowExcellent listening, negotiation and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skills in Spanish (native) and English - any other language e.g. French/German is valuedUniversity degree or equivalent through experience We offer A high level of independence with a great deal of creative leeway in your daily activities, ownership in your work and development opportunities.A competitive salary package + extra legal benefitsHybrid work modelA great team in an international working environment, working for a leading player in transportation management software.A fast-paced, positive environment having clear goals, strategy and means to succeed.
