Responsibilities: Your role as Senior Manager of Communications and Marketing will involve: Content Creation & Storytelling: Lead the development and execution of content strategies across multiple platforms (digital, print, social media, video) that highlight the School's cutting-edge programs, research breakthroughs, and student success stories.
Craft compelling narratives that transform complex scientific and technological achievements into accessible, engaging stories for diverse audiences, including prospective students, partners, and media.
Collaborate with faculty and researchers to create thought leadership content, interviews, blog posts, and articles that position the School as a leader in science and technology.Website Management & Optimization: Oversee the management, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the School's website, ensuring it reflects the brand's voice, vision, and content strategy.
Ensure the website is optimized for SEO, user experience, and accessibility, while keeping content up-to-date and relevant.
Coordinate with internal and external technical teams for web development, troubleshooting, and enhancements.Media and Marketing Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the IE School of Science and Technology and the IE University corporate communications and marketing teams.
Work closely with corporate media relations, PR, and advertising teams to align strategies, ensure brand consistency, and leverage university-wide opportunities for cross-promotion.
Manage media outreach and maintain strong relationships with journalists and key stakeholders to secure coverage in top-tier publications and media outlets.Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should have:
Bilingual or multilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency.Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related fields.
A Master's degree or MBA would be highly considered.5-10 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related role, with proven experience in content creation, media relations, and website management.
Experience in the education, science, or technology sectors is a plus.Strong storytelling ability, with a proven track record of translating complex topics into clear, compelling narratives.Exceptional writing, editing, and content development skills across multiple formats and platforms.Expertise in managing websites, including content management systems (CMS), SEO best practices, and analytics tools.Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, social media strategies, and campaign analytics.Experience working in an international, multicultural environment.Familiarity with the latest trends in science communication, higher education marketing, and digital innovation.If you are passionate about supporting educational programs and thrive in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply.
