Roads and Rail Civil Engineer We are currently recruiting for a Roads and Rail Civil Engineer to join our Madrid Linear Infrastructures team. We are working on stages as early as feasibility studies up to detailed designs on a wide range of projects, either as a standalone civil infrastructures team or as part of multidisciplinary teams. Our clients are from the private and public sectors and include long-term Framework Agreements with numerous Local Authorities together with Design and Build commissions for many major Contractors. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most important Civil projects in Europe and Spain.
Responsibilities Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects within established procedures and practices related to civil infrastructures.
Independently preparing design calculations or reports related to civil infrastructure elements.
Leads or supports the design of road and railway projects on a variety of tasks including geometric design, but also coordination with other disciplines (drainage, structures, geotechnical, etc.).
Performs civil engineering work by agreed-upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Performs a self-check of work products prior to submitting to others and participates in quality control reviews of documentation originated by equally or less experienced staff.
Provides guidance to entry-level engineers.
