Permanent Investment Accountant The Accountant will process accounting postings, perform closing activities, and validate overall closing within the area of responsibility.
The Accountant will also perform a detailed review, analysis, and interpretation of defined processes in the assigned area of work, ensuring accuracy of data and adequate processing and reporting.
Functional Responsibilities:To process accounting postings.To perform reconciliations.To execute and engage on all internal control activities defined within the function.To participate in internal & external financial audits.To drive and facilitate interactions with internal/external customers and third parties (legal entity controllers/plant accountants).To participate in system projects in the functional area with limited guidance.To prepare and deliver quality financial reports as required by internal or external requirements on time.To perform detailed review, analysis, and interpretation of defined processes in the assigned area of work, ensuring accuracy of data and adequate processing and reporting.To perform closing activities.To validate overall closing within the area of responsibility.Consultancy for the SBU's (cost vs. capital questions and in general any other permanent investment accounting query).Active participation in any permanent investment project (Carve in/Carve out processes, JV creation, mergers etc).Job Requirements:Knowledge & Experience:Accounting/Finance University degree.Minimum of 3 years finance/accounting experience.US GAAP.Business proficiency in English; any other language is considered a plus.Previous experience working with SAP or any other ERP system will be a plus.Skills & Attributes:Attention to detail.Team worker.Ability to work under pressure.Disciplined to follow and update procedures.Fast learner.Initiative/Innovation.Can-do attitude.Communication.Leadership within his/her processes and projects.
