Resource ManagerBIG BCN has experienced remarkable growth, and we are currently looking for an ambitious, talented, and organized Resource Manager to join our team. As a Resource Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Operations Team, overseeing project operations and ensuring efficient resource utilization across BIG Barcelona's ongoing projects. Your attention to detail, analytical skills and coordination abilities will contribute to the success of our projects by maintaining a well-coordinated and skilled workforce. Additionally, you will collaborate with the People team to anticipate future recruitment needs, support process improvements, and perform executive management tasks.
Key responsibilities:
Staffing and Resource Allocation:
Maintain an up-to-date overview of staffing in our system and coordinate staff allocation based on project requirements.
Collaborate closely with the Operations Team to match employees with appropriate projects, considering their skills, career aspirations, and preferences.
Communicate staffing plans and any changes to relevant individuals, including employees, project managers, and partners.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Work with Project Managers to ensure optimal resource utilization and accurate time registration.
Coordinate with the Controlling department to monitor and control project resource allocation against the budget.
Conduct weekly follow-ups to verify correct time submissions and obtain pre-approval for overtime.
Analyze and interpret data, preparing reports for the management group.
Maintain an overview of the project pipeline, promptly notifying any staffing shortages, surpluses, or missing competencies.
Process Improvements and Recruitment:
Collaborate with the People team to anticipate future recruitment requirements and ensure timely hiring of necessary employees.
Proactively suggest procedural and strategic improvements to enhance resource allocation and coordination.
Stay informed about employees' skills, career development, and aspirations to facilitate intelligent staffing decisions.
The ideal candidate:
Has a relevant education in architecture or has developed a similar role in an architectural studio.
Has 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Is organized, structured and pays attention to detail with the bigger picture in mind.
Has self-confidence and persistence and is confident with decision making in a fast-paced organization.
Can demonstrate attention to detail and an appreciation for quality.
Is proactive and completes tasks with a sense of urgency.
Is diligent with administrative tasks.
Has excellent interpersonal and written communication skills (Spanish and English language required).
