The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries.
The CRG is composed of an interdisciplinary, motivated, and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
We search for a researcher to work in an on-going project analysing paracrine communication in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC).
The researcher will analyse changes in expression, at the RNA and protein levels, of a group of secreted factors identified in secretomic screens using PDAC tumor cells and cancer-associated fibroblast.
The tasks will also involve manipulation of signalling pathways by means of inhibitors and lentiviral-mediated transduction of shRNAs and/or protein products.
Proven experience in the field of research and experimental techniques is strictly required.
About the labThe group aims to dissect how the activities of the DYRK family of protein kinases are linked to human pathology.
We are particularly interested in DYRK1A and DYRK1B family members and how their associated activities impact on the regulation of gene expression programs either directly through their recruitment to chromatin or indirectly through modulation of specific signalling pathways in the context of tumor growth.
