It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. We promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, fostering an environment where each and every one of us is appreciated for who we are, regardless of our differences.The Life Sciences Department from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center is establishing a new team on Health Data Research within the Life Sciences Department that will collaborate closely with the INB/ELIXIR-ES unit.This new team has its focus on the massive amount of health data available for research in the last years and the recent efforts at national and European levels to tap on those data to benefit patients.Key DutiesParticipate in data management planning for research projects, including data storage, backup, and archiving strategies.Facilitate data sharing and collaboration among research teams, both within the organization and with external partners.Implement and promote best practices in data stewardship and management, ensuring data is findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR).Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures.Provide training and support to researchers on data management best practices and tools.RequirementsEducationMSc in data science, bioinformatics, or a related field. Alternatively, demonstrated experience in data management and stewardship.Essential Knowledge and Professional ExperienceExperience in data stewardship and research data management.Familiarity with FAIR data principles and best practices in data quality management.Familiarity with data analysis with R, Python or SQL.Understanding of the regulatory requirements related to biomedical data management.Additional Knowledge and Professional ExperienceFluency in spoken and written English.CompetencesExcellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and within a team.ConditionsThe position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department
