We are seeking to recruit a research assistant for the development of the SECURING project of the KISON research group of the IN3 of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
SECURING aims to provide cost-effective cybersecurity and privacy technologies to endorse IoT infrastructures with the required levels of protection that are necessary for a sustainable deployment of this technology. This will contribute to a sustained development of the Internet.
Responsibilities: Determine the trade-off between fragility and robustness of watermarks: Develop methods to adjust the fragility of watermarks in speech, allowing control over the level of sensitivity to different types of modifications (compression, filtering, etc.). Evaluation of robustness against specific attacks: Analyze the resistance of fragile and semi-fragile watermarks against attacks aimed at removing or altering them, such as watermark estimation and counterfeiting. Combination of fragile and robust watermarks: Explore the possibility of combining fragile watermarks with robust watermarks to provide both forgery detection and intellectual property protection. Blockchain integration: Investigate the integration of blockchain technology to record and verify the integrity of watermarks and associated multimedia content, ensuring traceability and non-repudiation.
The successful candidate will be awarded a temporary 1-year full-time contract, starting on 1 January 2025.
The reference headquarters will be located at 22@, Rambla del Poblenou, 156, in Barcelona. However, at the UOC we work with an open work model that combines teleworking with face-to-face work, depending on organisational needs and the nature of the tasks.
