Job IntroductionThis role is to work as part of the Portfolio Management team, which is a well-established national team of junior fee-earners and supervisory senior fee-earners who support our national Real Estate group.
Our Real Estate group covers every aspect of commercial real estate work including, development, investment, asset management, funding, construction, landlord and tenant, planning and environmental and dispute resolution. Clients include property management and development companies, health trusts and government bodies (local and central), owner occupiers and institutions, both in the UK and overseas.
Role ResponsibilityRunning own caseload of more complex matters, particularly allied to public sector clients, utilities and title review focused work.Co-ordinating instructions and workflow on certain client accounts, comprising triaging instructions and delegating work to the most appropriate team member.Supervising junior fee earners on more simple utilities and title review work from start to finish.Line management of paralegals/trainee solicitors and working to develop our future qualified fee earners.The Ideal CandidateHigh level of technical expertise and an interest in Retail Asset Management.Experience working on landlord and tenant/asset management work including technically complex lettings.A passion for, and experience of, supervising junior team members (paralegal/trainee/junior qualified) and enthusiasm for working to develop future talent.The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.Ability to analyse and apply legal principles and facts to derive technically sound, commercial strategies.Sound judgment in decision making and being focused on client and case needs.About the CompanyWe're a leading international legal business with over 3,000 colleagues and a diverse range of capabilities.
