Your Impact
We seek a dynamic and experienced Project Controller to join our Professional Services team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing science-based projects, overseeing budget control and reporting, and collaborating with public administration institutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget. As a Project Controller for R&D at Mitiga Solutions, you'll:
Develop, implement, and monitor the project's budget in line with the grant organisation's financial regulations and guidelines.
Oversee project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, monitoring, and reporting of financial performance.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate project reports, including progress updates, financial statements, and impact assessments and present them to stakeholders ensuring transparency, traceability and accountability.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, particularly those about public administration institutions.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and partners.
Lead and mentor project teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
We seek an exceptional R&D Project Controller who possesses:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business Administration, Project Management). Advanced degree preferred.
Proven track record of success in Project Management, with a focus on research and development projects; preferably within the environmental consulting, or R&D area
Extensive experience working with public administration institutions such as the European Commission, the United Nations or local governments.
Proficiency in English is a must.

Ability to take ownership of and work independently to manage projects through to completion.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
