The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is seeking a talented individual to join our Operations Department as a User Support specialist on AI projects.Supercomputers are essential for tackling the most challenging and complex scientific and technological problems. Beyond simulations, they now enable the use of neural networks and large language models to address engineering challenges, empowering companies to achieve their goals through AI technologies. This position will be part of the operations department within the User Support team, focusing on supporting AI applications for key projects utilizing BSC resources, including performance optimization, code porting, specialized AI tutoring, and enhancing the scalability and performance of models.BSC hosts one of the biggest supercomputers in Europe within the framework of EUROHPC-JU. The pre-exascale machine at BSC, named MareNostrum 5, delivers a sustained performance of 205 PFlops, with over 180 PFlops powered by the latest NVIDIA technology using H100 GPUs. The HPC support team plays a crucial role in optimizing the use of this machine and assisting key projects with their daily operations.The funding for these actions/fellowships and contracts comes from the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility - Next Generation, within the framework of the General Invitation by the public business entity Red.Es to participate in the talent attraction and retention programs within Investment 4 of Component 19 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan.Key Duties:Optimize and adapt scientific application codes to new pre-exascale architectures and systems, focusing on AI applications and technologies.Improve the performance of existing AI environments, enhancing serial efficiency and scalability, and assist developers with necessary code modifications.#J-18808-Ljbffr
