SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides technical expertise in the operation as specified in the SMFI's Quality and Food Safety Management System (QFSMS), Product Information Sheet and/or Product Standard in line with customer expectations and requirements.
Observes and evaluates performance of the operations to ensure conformance to Product and Process Standards, GMP, HACCP and SSOP.
Monitors status of subordinates' performance in maintaining quality products.
Manages the conformances of the plant or facility to the established QFSMS to ensure consistent implementation, control, maintenance, improvement, or updating.
Organizes the Quality and Food Safety (QFS) team of the plant or facility to ensure effective management and implementation of the established QFSMS.
Communicates established approaches on how QFS activities will be deployed and effectively communicated at all levels of the organization within the plant or facility.
Formulates measurable specific objectives on quality and food safety for the plant or facility.
Verifies the implementation of established plans and programs on QFSMS.
Reports to the SMFI-Representative and top management on the status of the QFSMS towards achieving the plant's or facility and the plant business objectives.
Measures internal and external customers' satisfaction.
Conducts coordination meetings with Quality Control Inspectors to discuss performance results of operations and sets directives on implementation of agreed upon corrective actions for any deviations.
Reports status of customers' satisfaction to plant or facility management.
Verifies and approves applicable corrections or preventive actions on product and process non-conformities in the facility.
Trains employees of the plant or facility on how to satisfy customers by ensuring consistent production and delivery of safe quality dressed chickens and other product formats.
Directs the Quality and Food Safety Team members on compliance with applicable regulatory and mandatory laws and regulations pertaining to specific food products.
Attends to customer complaints; conducts store visits to verify the validity of complaints, whether valid or invalid; takes necessary action steps to prevent recurrence of valid customer complaints.
Ensures orderliness, cleanliness, and sanitation of production facilities and their auxiliary facilities such as Waste Water Treatment and Rendering Plants.
Demonstrates a high concern for the health and safety of self and others.
Demonstrates commitment to Company Rules and Regulations.
Undertakes special projects or technical studies as requested by San Miguel Foods Inc.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned in support of company goals or for personal or professional training, education, or development as programmed by immediate superior.
