Job Summary As Manager of Quality and Food Safety you will be responsible for managing the quality and food safety systems, ensuring that the company's internal regulations and corporate values are respected.
Your mission will be to ensure that safe products are obtained in accordance with the quality and food safety standards established by the company and current legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES Operational/Technical Responsible for the promotion, development and control of quality and production processes.
Responsible for the development and application of quality, food safety and identity-preserved standards and regulations regarding raw materials, packaging, semi-finished products and finished products.
Responsible for managing and acting on behalf of the company before third-party certification bodies (BRC, ISO 9001, HALAL KOSHER, Organic).
Responsible for managing and acting on behalf of the company before official bodies.
Defining inspection, testing and measurement procedures.
Responsible for reviewing work methods and advising on the introduction of new equipment, taking into account its possible impact on the quality, food safety and legality of the products.
Management of analysis of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products by laboratory technicians, in order to control possible deviations from the specifications.
Support the business in the preparation of technical reports on the characteristics of internal and external products.
Management and control of the client and external entities samples.
Lead and participate in projects to improve products and plant processes.
Responsible for client audits and claims management.
Knowledge of current legislation, applicable standards and the role of external food safety agents.
Ensure the completion, organization and control of the documentation of your department.
Food Safety Ensure product safety according to BRC, FSMA, internal company regulations, group and current legislation.
HACCP Team Leader.
Member of the Recall or Crisis Team.
Management of Hygiene and Traceability Prerequisites.
Adaptation and management of the Pest Control system.
Lead and participate in the investigation of process and product incidents.
Human Resources Manage the plant's quality and food safety departments.
Know and plan the training/education needs of the members of your department to achieve a multifunctional and autonomous team, helping in turn in their development/progression.
Manage the competencies of your department and ensure that the necessary competencies and backups exist.
Ensure that the department's staff works according to quality, safety and hygiene guidelines.
Help create and maintain a good working environment in the department.
Promote IFF values in their department and in the plant.
Promote the culture of food safety.
Responsible for Occupational Safety in their departments.
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or Engineering related to the food industry.
(Food Technology, biotechnology, agronomy or similar).
Advanced technical knowledge of Analytical Chemistry, Food Microbiology and Rheology.
High level of English (minimum C1 or similar).
Advanced computer knowledge: Visio, SAP, Microsoft office.
Knowledge of BRC and ISO Food Safety standards.
Knowledge of current legislation, applicable standards and the role of external food safety agents.
