The Multi Cloud Solution Engineer is a customer obsessed individual whose primary responsibility is to ensure the success of our customers on their Multi-Cloud journey, using our leading-edge VMware Multi-Cloud services which comprise an unmatched portfolio of technologies integrated as a platform enabler, assisting customers and partners to meet the key challenges facing their business today.
Within 90 days of employment, you will sharpen your technical knowledge and get to master VMware's unique value proposition, learn from your buddy and shadow your peers in customer meetings, working together with your Sales Specialist on dedicated customer opportunities. Within 12 months, you will be autonomous in leading the technical side of multi-cloud opportunities, identifying and validating customer use cases, providing technical direction and validation as well as best practice guidance. You will work closely together with Solution Architects to provide the customer a holistic architectural design and enable customer on operational benefits gained by using VMware Cloud Solutions.
You will be producing high level roadmaps and architecture designs for the customer. You will also earn trust from customers on numerous engagements. The key to success will be:

The primary objective of this position is to co-develop a partner and end-user strategy for your territory to cover in tandem with your Sales Partner and hit quarterly revenue targets. You will have to build deep, consultative relationships with the customers, effectively becoming a trusted advisor. The SE as a trusted advisor is ideally positioned to understand the customer's high-level business objectives and match these to VMware solutions to satisfy the business and technical requirements not only for the customer's current state but future state architectures.
Be comfortable presenting VMware's value proposition, technologies, strategy, and product details to all levels at the customer including executives, technical management, and technical engineers. Establish solid working relationships with VMware specialist teams, sales leadership, professional services, Distributors, Corporate Resellers, OEMs, and Cloud/Hosting Partners.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Enjoy presenting technical solutions, performing technical demonstrations, explaining the use cases, predominantly in teleconferences.Articulate both business and technical benefits of our solution.Build technical relationships with customers, using your creativity to help them understand the power of VMware Cloud and how it can solve their business challenges.Pre-sales support to Sales Reps, guiding VMware's clients through their Multi-cloud transformation.Collaborate with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.Coordinate the technical relationship with VMware's customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, RFP's, and the coordination of additional technical resources to accelerate customer projects, as requested from Partners and Sales Reps.Find the best way to help the Sales Reps or Partners to get responses for their ad-hoc technical questions.Assist Sales Reps and partners with competitive info and objection handling - be up to date on the market and competitive landscape so we can help our customers make the right decisions.Provide customer, team and partner enablement where required.Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools and cloud infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on VMware Cloud.
