Mission and main objectives:
- AD/ADAS (Autonomous Drive) functions performance evaluation, analysis and judgement, by means of Field validation tests (mileage accumulation) for all projects within AMIEO Region.
- Next technology and market trend analysis, relative to real world driving conditions, road condition, driving condition, customer usage, etc. Feedback to NML.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of all FVT testing according to Nissan standards.
- Creation of reporting materials as per request of project leaders and according to section standards.
- Execution of all related tasks to AD/ADAS FVT for new Projects: Support validation plan including vehicles, test routes, parts and equipment and execute validation tests.
- Summary of main actions:
- Prepare and control test instrumentation.
- Install all instrumentation and equipment and propose solutions/improvements for potential issues and next activities.
- Install all suitable software into the instruments, in preparation of each activity.
- Agree with engineer responsible of the activity the level of SW and be able to update each component & replace parts if needed.
- Perform full safety check to the vehicles when vehicle arrives for first time.
- Perform daily safety check for any dynamic test.
- During the field test, drive safely and according to the required test pattern and routes.
- Train other potential drivers for the field test requirements.
- Grant confidentiality requirements during the drive and the storage at night.
- Support field engineer to share data from testing base, hotel, etc.
- Execute Benchmarking test to understand competitor performance.
- Standardize evaluation method for these new systems in EUR:
- Support the creation of procedures adaptation for EUR market requirement.
- Report and coordinate with other members of the team.
- Support for next AD systems evaluation with NML (Vehicle preparation, propose PG routes, etc).
Background and experience:
- Mechanical and/or Electric & electronics technician.
- Good capacity to work autonomously and have new ideas to implement in the validation tests.
- Good capacity to solve problems and find solutions cross-functionally if required.
- Knowledge of Nissan AD/ADAS systems and its performance.
- Knowledge of vehicle chassis control system, dynamic performance, vehicle parts and CAN network.
- Good ability to execute a plan.
- Preferred vehicle evaluation experience. B1 driving license or equivalent.
- Preferred some measurement system operation experience of vehicle test (example: Canape/Canalyzer/DDT2000/V-Box/RT-range, etc).
- Good level of MS Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- English language fluent.
- Able and ready to do long business travel.
