DESCRIPTION Amazon Global Security Operations (GSO) is looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to provide application support, troubleshooting, and customer issue resolution for the GSO Security Integrations Group. This individual will work with other engineers to support Amazon Operations' physical security system infrastructures, including: access control, CCTV, visitor management, and incident management systems. The Security Integrations Group is a 24/7 operation, and shift work will be required, potentially including weekends.
Key job responsibilities Day-to-day support operations of a fast-paced complex distributed physical security infrastructuresResponding to telephone, ticket and e-mail requests in a professional, efficient mannerPerforming various programming and technical project / administrative related activities on the security systemsFollowing standard procedures for proper escalation of issues to the appropriate teamsReviewing and recommending logical and technical design as defined by documented standardsDocumenting knowledge in the form of knowledge base Wiki articlesAbility to work shifts that include holidays and weekendsParticipating in an on-call rotationAbout the team Security Integrations Group (SIG), a part of the Global Security Operations Technology (GSOTech) group, is primarily an engineering team for Amazon's physical security systems across the globe, but also participates in the design, development, deployment, and project management aspects of these systems. SIG provides 24/7 customer support for physical security systems. SIG provides 24x7 support via support engineering teams in AMER, APAC, and EMEA. Engineers are available in-office at all times.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends and/or holidays2+ years of customer facing IT role or physical security systems/infrastructure work experienceExperience scripting in PowerShell or other scripting languagesBachelors or Associates degree in a related field (Information Technology, Communications, Business, Criminal Justice, etc.)Experience managing projects with shifting prioritiesKnowledge of networking basics through work experience or educationExperience building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external partnersExperience working with Microsoft SQL ServerPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with AWS, networks and operating systemsExperience with physical security systems (such as Lenel, Honeywell, AMAG, Bosch, Milestone) or their associated hardwareAbility to program to solve problems and automate repetitive tasks in a common scripting languages such as PowerShell, VBScript and PerlHold a current ASIS CPP, APP or PSP certificationAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
