Project & Structured Finance Manager EMEA (Solar & BESS) (MJ-852)Location: Barcelona, Catalonia
Leap29 has a fantastic opportunity for a Project Structured Finance Manager to oversee Solar BESS across the EMEA Region. The responsibilities include:
Develop financial models for tenders, project acquisitions, PPA negotiations, financing, and sales purposes.Coordinate due diligence processes for acquisitions, financing, and sales.Prepare market reports, investment memorandums, project teasers, and other required documents and presentations.Design, adapt, and maintain detailed financial models for projects related to acquisitions, financings, PPA and EPC bids, and M&A activities.Create investment memorandums and briefs for internal and external stakeholders.Assist in the origination, negotiation, and closing of project and corporate finance transactions, collaborating with banks, financial partners, and advisors.Identify and evaluate key investment drivers, perform sensitivity analyses, and provide analytical assessments to structure deals efficiently.Understand and assess the tax and regulatory implications of business opportunities in the region.Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to evaluate key markets and identify new business opportunities from a financial and business perspective.Work closely with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Legal, and other departments to ensure projects progress smoothly and efficiently from a project finance perspective.Conduct general research and statistical analysis.Support the management of project insurance programs in the region.Collaborate with the structured Finance Team to meet various project demands.Skills & Competencies: Proficient in financial modeling with advanced Excel skills, including experience with macros and Visual Basic.Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial and mathematical modeling techniques for project finance and asset valuation.At least three years of experience in Project Finance or M&A.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and fluently.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Capable of synthesizing and organizing large amounts of data and managing multiple transactions simultaneously.Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.International experience is highly valuable.Hardworking, flexible, ambitious, and collaborative.Education & Training: Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.At least two years of experience with a Big Four firm or an investment fund is a plus.An MBA or other relevant master's qualification is highly desirable.Spanish and English language capability.If you are interested in this fantastic opportunity, please send your CV to Rob Byrom.
