Key Responsibilities: Handling and managing general cargo and project shipments, including full operational (technical) and cost control/profitability (commercial) aspects.
Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners, and other offices for any project operations-related issues.
Shipping all kinds of cargo, including out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globe.
Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors.
Calculating and monitoring project profits.
Supporting the sales team in writing up offers and proposals to clients.
Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment.
Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise: Successfully completed training in the field of freight forwarding.
Work experience in the freight forwarding industry.
Proven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination, and management.
Know-how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight, including break bulk, is an advantage.
Familiarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural).
Able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
