Information about Agilent is available at .As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our activity of the Atomic spectroscopy portfolio of Agilent (including AA, MP-AES, ICP-OES, ICPMS and QQQ) and act as the technical expert on this product line.
Basic knowledge of molecular spectroscopy (UV-VIS, FTIR and Raman) would be an asset, as time to time you can act as support to the molecular spectroscopy colleague.
You will work in close collaboration with our sales, marketing and pre-sales teams across EMEA.
Your key responsibilities will include:- Drive and develop the atomic spectroscopy business in the assigned territory.- Support technically account managers and specifically taking care of the pre-sales demonstration activities on your territory- Assist sales account managers to meet or exceed sales quota by providing technical/scientific expertise, primarily in the areas of application, workflow development and technical support- Support deployment of EMEA marketing plan, implement appropriate tactics (such as: delivering presentations and conference support)- Contribute to sales account and marketing activity planning in the country- Participate in the sales process from deal qualification to help the deal technical closure- Responsible for supporting sales organizations to meet targets- Benchmark competition and identify lockout specifications (identify Agilent's competitive advantage over competition)- Analyze customer requirements and recommends appropriate solutions- Collaborate with the sales team in the development of technical sales strategies- Evaluate and support management on ramp to volume strategies for new products prior to release- Provide training to the sales force.- Act as the customer voice to influence future product/application design that meets customer needs.- Prepare and deliver technical seminars to customers/prospects and contribute to recognized scientific forums- Maintain and expand critical domain knowledge including latest scientific findings, market & technology trends, industry benchmarks & regulations, competitive positioning- Interact with our atomic spectroscopy R&D units in Japan and Melbourne to address current technologies / applications and to incorporate EMEA requirements into upcoming products.For this role, you would ideally be based in Spain (Catalonia is preferred) working remotely by travelling to customer sites throughout Spain.QualificationsWe are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:- University Degree (PhD preferred) in a Chemistry related field or close (Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc...)- Good knowledge / experience with atomic spectroscopy and molecular.- Significant experience (plus 3 years) as a pre-sales/product specialist OR as an end-user of the above products - Any knowledge or previous experience on Agilent products would be a strong advantage- Full proficiency in both French and English.On a personal level, you are customer focused and proactive.
You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team.
You also have great communication skills to interact with many internal and external partners.
