Who you are We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Product Manager to oversee the development and management of our API Product. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in product management, specifically with technical products. This role requires strong technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both development and commercial teams.
Your Impact Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the API Product. Identify market opportunities and customer needs to inform product development. Prioritize features and enhancements based on business goals, customer feedback, and technical feasibility. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure clear understanding of product requirements and timely delivery of high-quality features. Collaborate with commercial teams to align product offerings with market needs and sales strategies. Communicate product plans, progress, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across the organization. Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of APIs, including design, implementation, and best practices. Engage with technical teams to discuss architecture, integration, and technical constraints. Provide technical input and guidance during product development and decision-making processes. User-Centered Design: Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product enhancements and new features. Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure the API Product meets user needs and provides an excellent developer experience. Create detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats. Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies to ensure the API Product remains competitive and innovative. Project Management: Manage the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery of features and updates. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful product releases and post-launch support. Track and analyze product performance metrics to measure success and inform future improvements. Documentation and Support: Develop comprehensive product documentation, including user guides, API references, and integration guides. Provide support to development and commercial teams, addressing technical questions and issues as needed. Requirements 3+ years of experience in product management, specifically with technical products and APIs. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Strong technical background with a solid understanding of API design and implementation. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with technical and commercial stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience with agile development methodologies. Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello) and API testing tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman).
