Pricing Actuary - Barcelona - InsurTech - Hybrid - Up to €80,000 My client is a Digital Insurance Company who changing the shape of insurance. They are looking for a Pricing Actuary with experience across Motor insurance to join their team in Barcelona! This position is hybrid/remote with 2-3 days per week in the office and is paying up to €80,000 + benefits.
Key Responsibilities: Help define and implement the pricing strategy for personal lines motor insurance, including auto and motorcycle.Develop, deploy, and maintain risk and subscription models to ensure product profitability.Examine metrics for conversion, renewal, and claims across various distribution channels to guide pricing and subscription models.Create internal data visualization tools to enhance analysis and facilitate informed decision-making.Recommend actions to maintain a strong competitive position across all channels (direct, mediated, comparison) while ensuring technical profitability.Oversee the analysis of the portfolio's claims, taking into account various factors such as channels, cohorts, guarantees, etc., focusing on both frequency and claims.Participate actively in actuarial committees to discuss challenges, propose solutions, and oversee implementation.Suggest and implement improvements in claims processing to enhance fraud prevention, mitigation, and customer experience.Drive initiatives and ensure their successful execution.Qualifications: Higher education in technical fields such as Actuarial Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent.Proven experience in similar Actuarial technical positions.In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly in Pricing and Underwriting personal motor lines.Advanced proficiency in SQL and preferably programming languages such as Python or R.Experience with cloud development environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.Proactive, with a strong business acumen and a drive to implement change.Creative problem-solving skills for complex issues.High tolerance for ambiguity, shifting priorities, and the occasional need to discard completed work.Advanced proficiency in both Spanish and English.If you would be interested in discussing this position further please apply now!!!
