.VHIR-RRHH-FOR-003_vs02_The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution that promotes and develops the research, innovation and biosanitary teaching of the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital. Through the excellence of our research, we identify problems of society and we contribute to spread them around the world. In April 2015, the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) obtained the recognition of the European Commission HR Excellence. This recognition proves that VHIR endorses the general principles of the European Charter for Researchers and a Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter & Code).VHIR embraces Equality and Diversity. As reflected in our values we work toward ensuring inclusion and equal opportunity in recruitment, hiring, training, and management for all staff within the organization, regardless of gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, religion, age, functional diversity or ethnicity.Predoctoral FPI contractNanopartículas FarmacocinéticasVHIR offers a position for a Predoctoral researcher within DESIGN AND PHARMACOKINETICS OF NPs to participate in the project "NANOPARTÍCULAS DE CeO2 PARA LA REGULACIÓN METABÓLICA Y EL TRATAMIENTO DEL ESTRÉS OXIDATIVO Y ENFERMEDADES RELACIONADAS".The group of design and pharmacodynamics of nanoparticles at the Vall d'Hebron Research Institute focuses on medicine. By mastering the inorganic core (size, structure, and shape) and understanding and controlling the linking of molecules to the nanoparticle surface, we engineer nanoparticles that can interact with biological systems in a specific way. We also put particular emphasis on safety, feasibility, scale-up, applicability, and other aspects of nanoparticle design. This contract is part of the project PID2023-148967OB-C21, financed by CIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 y por el FSE+", by the Call Formación de Personal Investigador Predoctoral (FPI) linked to a Proyecto de Generación del Conocimiento 2023.JOB DESCRIPTIONEducation and qualifications:Required:Bachelor's Degree in Sciences/PhD/Master Chemistry or Biochemistry and Nanotechnology.Inorganic NanoparticlesFluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)Desired:Specific/Additional Training in inflammation and metabolismExperience and knowledge:Required:Knowledge on Molecular Biology, Chemistry and BiochemistryAbility to produce Inorganic NanoparticlesDesired:Experience in molecular biochemistry and cellular metabolismExperience in nanotechnology and inorganic nanoparticlesMain responsibilities and duties:To follow up the PhD program associated with the experimental program of the funding project.Labour conditions:Full-time position: 40h/week.Starting date: according to the call, within the next four monthsContract duration: 4 years (FPI grant)Estimated annual gross salary (susceptible to change):1st year: 18.180,41 €2nd year: 18
