CIC energiGUNE is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to the development of next-generation lithium-ion batteries for high capacity and high voltage applications.
The role will focus on advancing the gellified cell concept by studying how cell design and assembly processes impact performance.
This research is part of the NEXTCELL project (nextcell.Eu), involving collaboration with experts in the emerging field of solid-state batteries.
Main Responsibilities: Study the impact of assembly parameters—such as electrode cutting, packaging, contact terminals, and sealing—on monolayer and multilayer pouch cells.
Analyze the electrode/separator interface and its influence on performance after cycling.
Assess how different design and processing factors, including pressure, calendering, and alignment, affect electrochemical performance.
