Post-Award Reserach Manager

The Institute of Cosmos Sciences of the University of Barcelona (ICCUB) is seeking a Post-Award Research Manager to join their secretariat team. Job DescriptionThe Post-Award Research Manager will play a crucial role in supporting ICCUB's Principal Investigators in managing competitive project funds. Key responsibilities include:
Managing grant budgets and preparing financial reports and auditsMonitoring budgets and anticipating deviationsOverseeing project work plans and scientific reportsEnsuring compliance with institutional and sponsor regulationsLiaising between researchers, funding agencies, and project coordinatorsSupporting consortium meetings and related project activitiesAny other duties related to the job as requested to contribute to the general functioning of the ICCUB Office. RequirementsBachelor's degree, preferably in physicsC1 level proficiency in both Catalan and EnglishMinimum 2 years of experience in a similar role at a scientific institutionKnowledge of project management tools and techniquesSelf-motivated, proactive, and results-orientedFamiliarity with Catalan, Spanish, and international funding landscapesExcellent teamwork and communication skills Employment DetailsOne-year contract, renewable based on performance and funding. Gross annual salary: approximately €29,000. Social security and public healthcare benefits included. Starting date: October or November 2024. Location: Faculty of Physics, University of Barcelona.
