Job Description
Building Engineering Services team is a highly qualified group of experts in offering the best solutions to international client's needs all around the world. Being part of Building & Places unit in Spain, this team is at the forefront of the discipline to design the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for a safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.
As a Plumbing Design Engineer you will collaborate in designing plumbing installations for international and complex projects that are delivered across a diverse range of sectors including Industrial, Healthcare, Aviation, Commercial, Defense, among others.
Responsibilities Design and engineering of building plumbing, medical gases systems and water treatment. Design of fire suppression systems (fire hose reels, sprinklers, gas extinguishing, etc.) in accordance with all applicable governing Codes and Standards and industry best practices. Perform studies to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of design alternatives, and recommend alternatives for implementation. Develop technical specifications, plans, elevations, sections and details. Prepare design related calculations. Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards / practices. Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar field will be essential. Strong background, minimum 5 years of related Mechanical Engineering experience, especially in plumbing systems. Good knowledge in international regulations and standards (BS, CIBSE, IMC, CTE, RSCIE, NFPA, etc).
