WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PhD graduate specialized in socio-environmental studies to join as a postdoctoral research position on the competitive research project WILDASF-VAX: "Transference of ASF oral vaccination in wild boar to mitigate the introduction in free-countries: Final testing phase and field acceptability" (project CPP2023-010878), funded by MCIU/AEI /10.13039/501100011033/ FEDER, EU.

JOB PROFILE Key responsibilities: Develop a map of territorial stakeholders to establish communication channels and conduct activities to facilitate their participation in the project.
Design and implement a sociological analysis related to the involvement of stakeholders in the project's subject, including both quantitative and qualitative analysis and using sociological research techniques.
Coordinate and organize communication activities with stakeholders (including surveys, interviews and focus groups).
Collaborate in the dissemination of study results through various channels, including the development of guidelines for informed decision-making.
Provide support for other technical and scientific tasks related to the project.
Collaborate on the preparation of scientific articles and technical reports.
Required qualifications: PhD degree in the fields of sociology, human geography, or life sciences.
With specific training in stakeholder engagement and supporting informed decision-making.
Experience in conducting socio-environmental studies, particularly related to aspects of the rural world.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis of surveys, interviews, and focus groups, and in applying statistical analysis methods.
Languages: Proficiency in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
Person with strong teamwork skills, highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
Must be adaptable to multitasking and capable of working autonomously and proactively.
Valuable qualifications: Knowledge of the rural world and socio-environmental conflicts derived from wildlife management.
Experience in conducting studies related to interactions between people and wildlife, including hunting, wildlife damage or other aspects.
Background in projects focusing on socio-environmental conflicts, land-use planning, and nature management in humanized environments.
Languages: knowledge of French.
