The ChallengeWallapop is looking for a Payments Risk Analyst to join its growing Trust and Safety team. Our goal as a team is to boost our users' trust by preventing fraudulent activity and protect Wallapop from abusers. Reporting to the Trust and Safety Manager, you will be in charge of keeping our users and business safe from fraud related to payments.
What You Will DoIdentify new fraud patterns, make recommendations and follow up the initiatives to reduce risk.Understand the current threats and risks in payments by creating fraud data assessment and vulnerability diagnosis.Develop the vision and manage the execution of the Payment Risk roadmap.Prevent and detect potential fraud across all payment verticals.Understand impact of payments risk policy on Wallapop (trade-off between loss mitigation and good user experience).Establish effective cross-functional relationships with Payments, Operations, Business, Product and Engineering to address new threats in payments.What We're Looking ForThis role calls for a combination of proven experience working in payments risk and comfort working with data. You have at least 2 years experience in risk in payments or transactional fraud risk. You have an analytical mind, with experience working with spreadsheets and SQL. You have the ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners. You have excitement about working in a constantly changing work environment, and willingness to independently problem-solve in it. You have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, Criminology or equivalent practical experience. You are fluent in both English and Spanish.
Do note that all our jobs are Barcelona based. We work in a mostly remote capacity offering great flexibility to our employees, but we believe in the power of getting together regularly in our office. As a first iteration, we expect a 4+ day/month office attendance for which the specifics are decided on a team level.
