We are seeking a highly experienced and talented Senior Actuary specializing in Property and Casualty (P&C) to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in leading our P&C risk management efforts, leveraging their extensive expertise to assess, model, and mitigate risks across our insurance portfolios.
The purpose of the job is to: Lead the development and implementation of P&C risk management strategies and initiatives.
Oversee the assessment and quantification of risks related to property and casualty insurance products.
Provide expert guidance on actuarial modeling, pricing, reserving, and reinsurance analysis within the P&C insurance domain.
Secure that entities perform adequate underwriting and pricing practices for their portfolios, which contribute to their sustainable growth .
Active partner in the underwriting of large accounts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate risk management insights into business decision-making processes.
Conduct actuarial analysis to assess the impact of natural catastrophes on insurance portfolios.
Control the end-to-end process of NAT CAT , challenging the exposures, hypothesis, models and results.
Mentor and coach junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional development within the team.
Visit IMa entities to review Risk Management processes and help to implement a proper action plan.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices related to to P&C risk management and contribute to the advancement of risk management methodologies.
Profile: Background & technical skills: +10 years' experience in P&C within the insurance or reinsurance industry, risk management functions appreciated.Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field Experience in NAT CAT management appreciated.
Reinsurance expertise appreciated.
Reserving experience in P&C business appreciated.
Personal capabilities: Fluent in Spoken & Written English (Spanish capabilities appreciated).
Ability to collaborate effectively interact with diverse teams and stakeholders as CROs or CEOs.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Pro-activity, willingness to challenge existing process and ability to suggest improvements.
Ability to work in transversal and international team environment, flexibility.
