This is a key position on the Competency Development & Nuclear Operations team and the incumbent must have high initiative and exceptional leadership, collaboration, and team building skills.
As the Training Resource Manager, you will manage the Technical and Operations Instructors team, support the different training projects led by Competency Development & Nuclear Operations department, as well as teaching in operation and technical areas as possible and mentoring the less experienced Instructors.

Your Day to Day: Establish area and individual objectives, monitor performance, and provide feedback and coaching to ensure objectives are met.
Direct, mentor and develop area personnel.
Develop the skills of the group and maintain Subject Matter Expertise (SME) within GOS and cross train personnel to ensure resources qualifications to support BU Projects Positively model and champion a results-oriented accountability culture.
Create an environment that encourages and supports employee participation through involvement in problem-solving, decision-making, and implementing change Maintain high employee morale in an environment of dynamic production load requirements and technological changes Model and ensure Nuclear Safety behaviors ensuring plans for meeting customer requirements are in compliance with all safety, environmental, nuclear and government regulations.

Ensure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies and enforce them within this supervised activity.

Support Westinghouse transformation savings objective and ensure effective utilization of assets to deliver company value, by effectively deployment personnel, methods and tools in support of BU and Corporate activities and projects.
Create flexible work force to accommodate variable demand within BU requirement ranges.
Ensure estimates and projects are not overly burdened with labor hours and personnel are moved to other work upon completion of their assignment.
In the event of a demand conflict, capability to provide inputs to the BU to optimize resources for the projects within and across the BUs.
Note that before resource changes are made, GOS and BUs will collaborate to resolve any potential cost, schedule and/or delivery impacts.
Identify specific resources after resource loaded schedule development, as appropriate and as agreed with the BU.
Support the BU during the Bid and Proposal process as needed.
Can deliver Operations and Technical Training and qualify new Instructors based on their qualifications.
What you need to be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific or equivalent Supervision experience in a training environment Minimum 5 years of experience on Operations and / or Technical Training Knowledge of the certification training Process Knowledge about Systematic Approach to Training Knowledge of the Training Processes Leadership and decision making, customer service, clear communication, result orientation, self-motivated Skills and Competencies Exceptional initiative, leadership by influence, and collaboration skills Demonstrated operations management and lean Training skills Demonstrated project management skills Exceptional communication skills including interpersonal, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Able to develop Microsoft PowerPoint presentations using visuals and graphics for audiences at all levels of the organization Must interface effectively within the organization, with customers.
