Operations Support LeadJob Summary Support xScale site teams globally in maintenance, general operations, construction project transitions to operations. Focus on customer interaction, the xScale model, collaboration between construction teams and project managers, and support for GOE and local Service Enablement teams. Support local teams and country organisations with the onboarding of the xScale Business Model creating and sharing of education across EMEA, helping to guide the interlock required between Operations and Construction and then post handover to operating and managing a live site and customer.
ResponsibilitiesFacilitate xScale Ops presence among clients, construction teams, project managers, and GOE teams for smooth integration and transition of construction projects to operations.xScale Operations Key stakeholder for understanding where projects are in their construction stage to assist in reporting to our internal and external stakeholders and helping to ensure a smooth integration and transition from construction to operations.Oversee the implementation of operational standards and best practices for xScale data center operations.Support the implementation of operational standards and best practices raising visibility on gaps found as a result of the xScale business Model & Product helping share education across sites.Monitor activities related to compliance, environmental safety, and operational continuity.Have an overview of any open items or activities that may be impactful to the customer or Investor.Drive continuous improvement using GOE tools for data analysis and decision-making.Provide assistance and support to local teams in identifying any gaps that impact our obligations towards the Investor or Customer.QualificationsExperience in the functioning/workings of a data centre, including tools and systems used to support operations would be preferred.Proven track record of ability to work as a team, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and manage transition projects.Analytical skills and proficiency in management and data analysis tools.General understanding of industry standards, compliance, and best practices in safety and environmental protection beneficial.Spanish speaking in order to support our deployments in Spain and Mexico.Additional RequirementsRisk Management: Ability to identify, evaluate, and mitigate operational and financial risks related to SLA non-compliance.Strategic Reporting and Communication: Ability to prepare and present accurate and timely reports to investors and internal stakeholders, demonstrating compliance, performance, and improvement initiatives.Availability for occasional travel to different countries and flexibility to respond to operational emergencies if required.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
