Job Description:
Our EMEA Data Team seeks a Team Leader in the Operations Team. In this role, you will manage part of the Operations Team within the European Data & Development Center. You will collaborate with Data Research Analysts on global and local processes. You will also work closely with Global Operations, Activation, and Document teams, as well as Local Business Representatives, to enhance our global database.
Your team will manage various operations, activation, and document processes in EMEA. They will research identified issues, ensure cycle time requirements are met, and communicate outcomes to relevant team members. Timely resolution requires coordinating resources across multiple data teams. This position is based in our Data & Development Center EMEA, Madrid.
Role & Responsibility:
Manage and develop a team of 5+ Analysts. Provide direction and support.
Establish SMART goals and allocate resources for processes and projects.
Work with multiple global teams and across functions. Participate in global calls and meetings.
Support process improvement using LEAN Six Sigma tools and process automation.
Understand priorities and organize team workload based on business requirements.
Collaborate with global teams, Local Business Representatives, Data & Development Team Leaders, and Regional Data Leaders.
Share feedback and KPIs on process performance, priorities, and projects.
Provide the team with knowledge on Morningstar business, products, and the finance industry. Foster a learning culture within the team.
Support an organized, motivating, and team-oriented environment.
Guide team members to develop competencies and support them with talent development.
Work with the team on processes and projects within prescribed cycle times. Track progress.
Identify process defects to improve overall results.
Understand roles, responsibilities, and expertise of internal partners. Ensure commitments meet client expectations. Partners include relevant Morningstar employees.
Conduct performance reviews for each team member.
Set and explain career development paths and opportunities.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Understanding of the financial industry.
Curiosity and passion for investment data.
Excellent writing, communication, problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated. Ability to guide and coach team members through training and mentoring.
Capacity to promote cooperation and collaboration.
Experience in process improvement and project management.
Proficiency in oral and written communication. Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in another European language is a plus. Commitment to deliver honest, high-quality, and personal service to clients.
