And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.The Enterprise Risk Management organization within Global Risk and Compliance (GRC) is responsible for identifying and managing risk across all processes and geographies at American Express.We are seeking a passionate risk professional who will be responsible for evolving the local Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program including enhancing the oversight function in line with best practices set by our corporate policies.How will you make an impact in this role?Oversee Risk Governance activities and support the organization of Risk Committees, preparing action plans and tracking follow-up activities;Coordinate and enhance Risk Reporting, developing scorecards, dashboards, and senior leader presentations;Engage in strategic Risk Projects, participating actively in the planning, coordination and execution of the workstreams;Monitor and enhance the Risk Appetite Framework across all sources of Risk (both financial and non-financial);Identify risk metrics (e.g. Key Risk Indicators) to continuously monitor and oversee risk levels;Conduct quantitative analysis and data driven reviews of key processes to drive insights, challenges and recommendations for first line teams.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Legal or similar field of study;3 to 5 years of experience in a control function (e.g. Governance, Risk, Compliance) in the financial sector or in a consulting environment; experience with Payment Institutions and connected regulatory requirements is a plus;High degree of attention to detail and strong track record with data and reporting accuracy;Excellent organizational and time-management skills to successfully drive results timely in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities; formal Project Management experience is a plus;Strong analytical skills and business acumen with a risk-reward control perspective; experience or strong interest in quantitative risk analysis and Data Science is a plus;Proven ability to learn skills and knowledge on demand in a compressed timeline; strong intellectual curiosity and motivation within the Risk Management domain;Excellent inter-personal relationship skills, flexibility, and a highly professional approach for interactions with all levels of management and across business units;Self-directed individual who can work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment;Fluent in English and Spanish, and outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish;Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (in particular Excel and Power Point); experience with Databases, Data & Analytics tools and coding is a plus;Be a team player and have fun while working.We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
