You will be joining a collaborative and highly active team, where you will work closely with the senior analysts, associates, and directors. You will play an important role in underwriting and executing financing advisory assignments, as well as supporting pitches and other origination activities.Our team's client base includes many of the world's largest real estate investment firms, and we cover all asset classes across major European jurisdictions.We have completed £20Bn+ of financing transactions in the past 24 months, across 19 European countries.This diverse offering is unique in the marketplace and gives analysts the opportunity to learn from a broad array of transaction profiles.The Debt & Structured Finance team works closely with other Capital Markets teams within JLL, offering valuable exposure to other segments of the industry.The Debt & Structured Finance team offers a clear career path to business production through the analyst and associate programme.Analyst compensation is highly competitive and is aligned with the success of the team.We are searching for candidates that are also looking for a role where they can grow, as mentorship and organic growth are two of our team's foundational cultural principles.Day-to-Day ActivitiesBroad Sector & Jurisdiction Exposure: Closely work with the senior analysts and associates to underwrite all different property sectors and business plans (investment, value-add, ground-up development, etc.) across all major European jurisdictions.Financial Modelling: Analysts will be required to model detailed unlevered and levered scenarios to align with the base case property business plan, as well as individual financing structures – underwriting is primarily performed in Microsoft Excel.Financing Memoranda: Preparing detailed financing memoranda – analysts work with the client, other JLL analysts, JLL directors and JLL's graphics team to create these 30-100-page overviews of financing opportunities, which summarise key elements of the financing request, underlying collateral, business plan, market, and sponsorship.Lender Outreach: Analysts also play an important role in assisting with the marketing of financing opportunities, helping coordinate lender Q&A's and tracking feedback, then ultimately will assist in lender outreach after obtaining sufficient experience to do so.Loan Execution Analysis: As financing quotes are received, analysts will create detailed quote matrices summarising the terms and help analyse the various options via modelling the different terms and structures.Transaction Management: During the closing process of a transaction, analysts will help coordinate all party calls, conditions precedent and help ensure key deadlines are achieved.New Mandate Origination: Outside of live mandates, analysts day-to-day play an integral role in preparing detailed RFP responses and pitch decks to assist the directors in securing new mandates.Relevant Research Projects: Lastly, there will be occasional research projects related to specific sectors, locations or clients that analysts will help organise and lead.Location: On-site – Madrid, ESPIf this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements.
